From March, patients who have an outpatient appointment at Salford Royal, have been receiving their confirmation letters by text or email, meaning they get their letter more quickly and can often manage their hospital appointments online.
Social care support changes people’s lives but sadly, not everyone gets the support they need. At the end of 2021 Healthwatch Salford launched a project focussing on the issue of unmet need in social care.

In June we welcome our new Chief Officer Sam Cook into the staff team. Sam has been with the Healthwatch Salford as a Trustee since 2018 and has extensive experience in the voluntary sector, community engagement and empowerment.
Following feedback received from the public, we want to understand a bit more about patients’ experiences with Salford based GP services (Doctors, Nurses etc) over the last 18 months.
